Worth a stop. Argh. On the way to Bradenton Beach, along Cortez Road, is the Sea Hagg. On first glance, it looks like a roadside attraction and really is in its own right. A good mix of kitsch and some great work by local artists. The collection of nautical items is so large that it puts to shame even the most hyper-display of seafarin' garb that so many seafood restaurants love...

Robin,
That may be true. Frankly, I didn't look at the price of everything there. There was no sales pressure while I looked around. The helpful lady running the store put me in the right direction towards the fishing village (I was on the wrong side of Cortez Road for that), and recommended the Star Fish Co. Market's dockside restaurant. Before I decided to buy an old nautical map for under $10. Galleries have prices that are waaay above me, but I still look in them.
